Adding Hyperlinks to E-mailE-mail is a wonderful way to promote your product or service. However, you can only put so much information into an e-mail message. Putting a link to your website is a great idea as it allows you to write a short e-mail message and put the bulk of the information on your website where people can peruse it at their leisure. We've had a couple of requests on how to do this, so here's how. Some e-mail programs will make a link to a website if you type in an address without the http://, but some others will not. So, if you want to include a link to your website that will work with the majority of e-mail software, you should type your address like this: http://www.yourdomain.com Do not type it like this, as it may not work properly. www.yourdomain.com Now, if you would like to provide a link to your e-mail address, you need to follow the same basic rule, instead this time, you use the mailto: prefix in front of the e-mail address. mailto:you@yourdomain.com If you would like to define a subject for that e-mail link, you would format it this way: mailto:you@yourdomain.com?subject=Your_Subject It is important to note that you need to use an underscore instead of a space between the words of the subject. These are little details but they can make a big difference in the results you get from your e-mail. Let us know how they work for you! Internet
